The competition was judged by a distinguished panel of concert guitarists and luthiers from the Czech Republic, Germany, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, and the Philippines, represented by Filipino concert guitarist Michael Dadap.

The 2011 Philippine International Guitar Festival and Competition was organized by Guitar Friends and the CCP.
